A Hat For St Patrick’s Day

Have you ever gone out on March 17th and found that many people were wearing a St. Patrick’s Day hat? I know that I have seen it, especially in bars and nightclubs. It seems that hats have become as much of a tradition as what green beer is for St. Paddy’s Day.

Nightclubs aren’t the only place I find people wearing a St. Patrick’s Day hat. I’ve seen many kids wearing hats to school to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day. My daughters love being able to pick out a new hat to wear for school. Most of the time they end up with a sequined hat, though they usually pick out a top hat for me.

A St. Patrick’s Day hat doesn’t have to be expensive. There are hats available for less than a dollar, though these are usually plastic and won’t last much beyond the one day. Of course, you can get hats that are more expensive, but it’s not really a great expense. Hats usually range between the $10-$20 mark; with a few exceptions, and many are available for less than the ten dollars as well.

Dressing up in a St. Patrick’s Day hat is meant to be fun, and since they are always green or have green on them they can save you from the pinch too! Personally, we have found this to be a fun way to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day. My advice; get a kiss, buy a hat, and make the most of enjoying the day.
